Having found it at it’s true source, Cosmic Hand Reaches for the Light, I do know that
In a new image from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory, high-energy X-rays emanating from the nebula around PSR B1509-58 have been colored blue to reveal a structure resembling a hand reaching for some eternal red cosmic light.
The star now spins around at the dizzying pace of seven times every second — as pulsars do — spewing energy into space that creates the scene.
Strong magnetic fields, 15 trillion times stronger than the Earth’s magnetic field, are thought to be involved, too. The combination drives an energetic wind of electrons and ions away from the dying star. As the electrons move through the magnetized nebula, they radiate away their energy as X-rays.
Honestly though, it wouldn’t have surprised my in the fucking least if it would have been Star Trek related. Seems that here fucking lately I’ve been surrounded by Trekkie nerds. From my good friend Ana and her trekkie porn, (see this post) to Miss Athena Hollow
proclaiming her child had been possessed by some alien disease or entity, to this weekend channels surfing to find not one but two different Star Trek movies, to this Eminem’s new (and long awaited by somebody) video bashing celebrities. I’m fucking surrounded by god damn nerds!
Shit, I even found out that fucking Hustler, of all fucking people, is planning on doing one of their porn spoofs on Star Trek. Shit is the world not safe from this fucking nerdom when even Hustler gets into the fucking act.
At least Eminem also bashes a few other of my favorite publicity whores like Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson, Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Winehouse, Bret Michaels, Kim Kardashian. BTW Hustler is currently running a parady of Kim Kardashian called "keeping it up for the KardASSians". Walrus babes has that one covered and I’ll be honest, the chick playing the part of Kim has definately got the ass for the part.
